Our Story
Tangent Self Adhesive Ltd was founded in 1980 by Mike Sibley and Rod Grevitt, driven by a belief in the growing potential of double-sided pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes. With extensive industry experience, they recognised that many manufacturers required more specialised adhesive solutions than standard products could provide.
From the beginning, Tangent focused on supplying high-performance tapes together with the technical expertise needed to solve real manufacturing challenges. By combining practical knowledge with flexible converting capabilities, the company quickly built a reputation for reliability, quality and dependable service.
Over more than four decades, Tangent has grown into a trusted UK adhesive tape converter and distributor, supplying manufacturers across a wide range of industries with tailored adhesive solutions.

In the late 2000s, Rod retired from the business and, a short time later, Mike’s two sons joined the company, continuing the second-generation family ownership while bringing fresh ideas and modern approaches. This blend of experience and innovation ensures that Tangent remains both dependable and forward-looking.
